Itinerary

  • DAY 1
    Arrive at Kathmandu 1,300m and transfer to Hotel.

    On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport you will be received by our staff and transfer you to respective Hotels, where our guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, tours, do's and don't and other related information that you might require while in Nepal.


  • DAY 2
    Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.

    After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest.

    Bhaktapur is the third largest city in Kathmandu valley and the city was once the capital of Nepal in 12th to the 15th century. It is 20 kms from the Kathmandu valley and also known as the city of Culture, the living heritage of Nepal cultural gem. The main attraction of Bhaktapur is Nyatapol (5-story) Temple, Golden gate palace with 55 windows, intricately designed woodcarvings etc. Bhaktapur is also famous for it's pottery work. After a brief sightseeing of Bhaktapur we will now head back to Kathmandu and onto our next site for the day which is Pashupatinath temple.

    Pashupatinath is situated 5 kms east of Kathmandu, the temple of Lord Shiva-Pashupatinath with two tiered golden roof and silver doors is famous for its superb architecture. Visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. The temple is also one of the UNESCO world heritage site.

    Bouddhanath is declared to stand as the largest Buddhist shrine of South Asia. The ancient colossal chorten was built in the 6th century  by King Man Dev. It rests on a series of three terraces and from the bird's eye view it takes the relevant shape or of a lotus flower which indeed remains a very holy object for all the devout Buddhists of the world. The chorten is surrounded by a circular market, which forms a part of Tibet town. In this case, also the four pairs of the Buddha's eyes give a vivid flash to the four cardinal directions, meaning to keep a diligent watch over the people and their commitments all day all night. The chorten embraces the authentic philosophy of Mahayana the faith of which is known as Lamaism in Sikkim, Ladakh, Bhutan and Tibet.

    Patan Durbar Square: The ancient name of Patan is Lalitpur, meaning city of beauty. It is indeed a city of beauty and grace and is planned on a circular format with Buddhist stupa's at each of the four points of the compass. The city is three kilometers south-east of Kathmandu across the southern bank of the river Bagmati. Like Kathmandu, its most photogenic centre of attraction is its Durbar Square complex, situated right in the middle of the market place. The city is full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, with fine bronze gateways, guardian deities also and wonderful carvings. Noted for its craftsmen and metal workers, it is also known as the city of artists. The city is believed to have been built during the reign of Vira Deva in 299 A.D.

    An attraction of a different kind is the Tibetan Camp on the outskirts of Patan. The small Tibetan population living here has set up a number of shrines and stupas as well as several souvenir shops offering authentic Tibetan handicrafts such as prayer wheels of wood, ivory, silver or bronze, long temple horns made of beaten copper, belt buckles, miniature thunderbolts and jewels. In this area, one can also see the Tibetans weaving carpets by hand.


  • DAY 3
    Drive to Nagarkot 2 hrs drive.

    From the respective Hotel our guide will pick you up at the given time, afternoon time would be idle, after lunch in Kathmandu a scenic drive in the busy area of Kathmandu leads you to the suburb where the traffic fades slowly and then just by the outskirt of Bhaktapur, the drive climbs for an hour reaches at Nagarkot, on arrival check into respective Mountain Resorts offering great views of the snow capped peaks with sunsets and sunrise in comfort of the cosy room with a view Hotels and Resorts.


  • DAY 4
    Drive to Kathmandu airport fly to Pokhara with a tour of Bhaktapur.

    Morning after sunrise over the chain of snow capped peaks, leave after breakfast for the downhill drive towards Bhaktapur for the sightseeing at places of interest inside the age-old Durbar Square Bhaktapur lies only a short distance from the capital, but it could be another planet, so great is the difference in the atmosphere and sense of history. It really feels, despite the gradual encroachment of satellite dishes, that little has changed here for centuries. After a wonderful time here, drive to the airport for the short flight to Pokhara. As per the flight schedule, transfer to the domestic airport for the flight to Pokhara. Half hour scenic flight brings to the stunning Pokhara Valley. Pokhara is the second largest township in Nepal and enjoys a beautiful setting beside the large lake of Phewa, Rupa and Begnas. From here are magnificent views of Mt. Maccahapuchare the famous fishtail peak, with time in the late afternoon or evening to have a look around the town which is situated on the mid-west Nepal.


  • DAY 5
    In Pokhara sight seeing tour at places of interest.

    Today you will be engrossed with tour at places of interest in Pokhara with the constant panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range of mountains including the majestic Mt. Maccahapuchare. Morning a short drive to Sarankot for the sunrise over the chain of snow capped mountains overlooking the beautiful Pokhara Valley with the Phewa Lake. After breakfast boat ride at Phewa Lake followed by visit of the Brindabhasini Temple premises, the Seti Gorge, the Devi’s fall (David) or Pathele chhago, Gupteswor Cave and Tibetan Refugee Camp.


  • DAY 6
    Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

    As per the morning flight time transfer to Pokhara airport for the flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel for another adventure tour to Bhutan.


  • DAY 7
    Fly to Paro and drive to Thimphu.

    Arrive in the Paro Airport. Our representative in Bhutan will greet you, brief you about the trip and will take you to the capital city Thimphu (2,320m), one and half hour drive. Visit the Weekend market, Mini Zoo and Tashichoo Dzong, hike to Cheri Monastery, visit hand made paper factory, 13 Arts and Crafts institute, museums, see people playing archery, stroll around the cit and a night in down town Thimphu. After that drive to Arts & Crafts School, famous for traditional thangkha paintings. Here you will see, students at work producing intricate design on cloth. Visit Handicrafts Emporium which displays wide assortment of beautifully hand-woven and crafted products. Then drive to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in the memory of Bhutan's Third King who is popularly regarded as Father of modern Bhutan. The paintings and statues inside this monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu


  • DAY 8
    Drive to Punakha (75 Km, 3 Hours )

    After breakfast drive to Punakha with a short stop at Dochula pass (3,080m) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If skies are clear, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m), Kangphugang (7,170 m), Zongphugang (7, 060 m), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana - finally Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.

    Later visit Punakha Dzong, built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative centre of the region, Punakha Dzong has played an important role in Bhutan's history. Damaged by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the Dzong has now been fully restored.

    After that drive to Wangduephodrang visiting Dzong and local market, the district of Wangduephodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate and stone carvings, and overnight at the hotel in Punakha.


  • DAY 9
    Drive to Paro (125 Km, 4 Hours)

    After breakfast drive to Paro en route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 1627, it now houses the School for religious studies.

    Afternoon in Paro visiting Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom, originally built as Watch Tower since 1967 it is serving as the National Museum of the country and holding fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings and Bhutan's exquisite postage stamps.

    Afterwards, walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong. Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal , the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan, the Dzong houses the monastic body of Paro, the office of the Dzongda (district administrative head) and Thrimpon (judge) of Paro district, overnight at the hotel in Paro.


  • DAY 10
    In Paro for short tour.

    After breakfast drive north of Paro valley to ruins of Drukgyel Dozng.


  • DAY 11
    Fly Paro / Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. Sightseeing Tour

    After breakfast, drive to Paro airport for flight to Kathmandu. Check in to Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Kathmandu Durbar Square is the historic seat of royalty. The Durbar Square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is here that Kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to seek here are; Taleju Temple built by King Mahendra Malla in 1549 A.D., Kal Bhairav, the God of destruction, Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Big Bell, Drum and the Jagannath Temple.

    Proceed to Swayambunath, one of the world's most glorious Buddhist Chaitya. It is said to be 2000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spdire bases are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is three kilo meters west of Kathmandu city and is situated on a hillock about 77 m. above the level of the Kathmandu Valley.


  • DAY 12
    Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa.

    Morning drive to Kathmandu International airport for the flight to Lhasa if the weather is clear enough you can have the spectacular view of World’s highest peaks including Mount Everest, received at the Airport by the Tibetan guide from our counterpart agents and drive to respective Hotels for about 2 hours.


  • DAY 13-15
    Sightseeing tour of Lhasa.

    These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursion of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple at the Barkhor Market, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Last day you will visit Namtso Lake – full day return journey.


  • DAY 16
    Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu.

    In the morning after breakfast, transfer to airport. During the flight you will see Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lake Yamdrok, Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m), Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest (8848m).


  • DAY 17
    Free day at leisure in Kathmandu.

    A free day in Kathmandu, please inform our staff if you would like to go on another short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley or for a scenic mountain flight.


  • DAY 18
    Transfer to Airport for the International departure.

    Today as per your international flight time, keep your air ticket and your passport handy. Our staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing adventure in neighboring Himalayan Capitals.
