Itinerary

  • DAY 1
    Arrive Kathmandu. Meet and transfer to Hotel. O/N Hotel

    On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport you will be received by our staff and transfer you to respective Hotels, where our staff will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel and Kathmandu, do's/don't and other related information that you might require while in Nepal.


  • DAY 2
    Morning sightseeing tour of Patan and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur and continue to Nagarkot. O/N Hotel.

    After breakfast our staff will come to pick you up at the Hotel for the morning sightseeing. Today you will be visiting:

    Patan Durbar Square: The ancient name of Patan is Lalitpur, meaning city of beauty. It is indeed a city of beauty and grace and is planned on a circular format with Buddhist stupa's at each of the four points of the compass. The city is three kilometers south-east of Kathmandu across the southern bank of the river Bagmati. Like Kathmandu, its most photogenic centre of attraction is its Durbar Square complex, situated right in the middle of the market place. The city is full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, with fine bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings. Noted for its craftsmen and metal workers, it is also known as the city of artists. The city is believed to have been built during the reign of Vira Deva in 299 A.D. Some of Patan's more important monuments are Durbar Square, Khumbeshwor, Krishna Temple, Machendranath to name a few.

    Tibetan Refugee Camp:An attraction of a different kind is the Tibetan Camp on the outskirts of Patan. The small Tibetan population living here has set up a number of shrines and stupas as well as several souvenir shops offering authentic Tibetan handicrafts such as prayer wheels of wood, ivory, silver or bronze, long temple horns made of beaten copper, belt buckles, miniature thunderbolts and jewels. In this area, one can also see the Tibetans weaving carpets by hand.

    Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur is the third largest city in Kathmandu valley and  the city was once the capital of Nepal in 12th to the 15th century. In Sanskrit the meaning of Bhaktapur is "The Town of Devotees". It is 20 km from the Kathmandu valley and also known as the city of Culture, the living heritage of Nepal cultural gem. The main attraction of Bhaktapur is Nyatapol (5-story) Temple, Golden gate palace with  55 windows, intricately designed woodcarvings etc. Bhaktapur is also famous for it's pottery work. After a brief sightseeing of Bhaktapur we will now head back to kathmandu and onto our next site for the day which is Pashupatinath temple.

    Nagarkot is located 30 km to the east of Kathmandu and 10 km from Bhaktapur. Nagarkot is the favorite weekend gateway for those who seek Himalayan Scenery and rural serenity. From Nagarkot, you witness the stunning view of mountains that extend all the way from Dhaulagiri in the west past Mt. Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east. The surrounding countryside of Nagarkot is great for walking. Nagarkot is situated at an elevation of (2,175 m.) and provides a grandstand panorama of the Himalaya. You can see five of the world’s tallest mountains – Everest (8,848m.), Lhotse (8,516m.), Cho Oyu (8,201m.), Makalu (8,463m.) – and many other lesser summits. The snow peaks look especially gorgeous during sunset and sunrise.


  • DAY 3
    Day excursion or village walk around Nagarkot over a beautiful view of the Himalaya range. O/N Hotel

    After the great sunrise view over the snow capped mountains, a short hike leads you to the highest point of Nagarkot, where there is a view tower. On a clear day one can view Mt. Everest towards east. The place is surrounded by small farm villages and forest of oaks, pines and rhododendron trees. After a good walk to here, head back to the Resort, afternoon at leisure a short walk around the shops of Nagarkot.


  • DAY 4
    After breakfast return to Kathmandu. Afternoon sightseeing tour to Kathmandu city and Swayambhunath. O/N Hotel.

    After another beautiful sunrise over the snow capped mountains we now bored the car and head back to Kathmandu valley. In the afternoon our staff will be at the hotel to pick you up on another epic sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu city and Swayambhunath.

    Kathmandu Durbar Square: It is the historic seat of royalty. The Durbar Square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. It is here that kings of Nepal are crowned and their coronations solemnized. Interesting things to see here are; Taleju Temple built by king Mahendra Malla in 1549 A.D.; Kal Bhairav, the God of Destruction, Nautalle Durbar(nine-story palace), Coronation Nasal Chowk, The Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Big Bell, Big Drum and the Jagannath Temple.

    On the right hand corner, larger wooden lattice screen hides an enormous gilded face of Sweta Bhairav. The screen is removed only during the Indra Jatra festival. There are also Numismatic Museum and Tribhuvan museum inside the Hanuman Dhoka Palace building. Photography is prohibited inside the museums. Both the museums remain closed on Tuesdays and government holidays.

    Temple Of Kumari (Kumar Ghar): The temple or the residence of Living Goddess,  Kumari, is situated in the vicinity of Hanuman Dhoka Palace. The building has profusely carved wooden balconies and window screens. The Kumari - the Living Goddess acknowledges the greetings from her balcony window. Photography is prohibited.

    Swyambhunath – the Monkey Temple: This is believed to be 25 centuries old and stands as one of the world's oldest Buddhist Chaityas. The Great Stupa of Swyambhu is the wonder that was Nepal, the glory that was Nepal. It is indeed listed a World Heritage Site to prove that it serves as the nerve center of faithful worship for all the devout philosophy of Bajrayan in particular and honors Lord Adi Buddha. It is dedicated to the self - originating flame God. The stupa, which forms the salient structure, is well composed of a solid hemisphere of terra - cotta bricks and soil supporting a cornice of copper and gilt. Painted on the four -sided based by of the spiral are the all seeing eyes of lord Buddha, keeping an eternal watch on the Valley distinguishing between vice and virtue. It is some two miles west of Kathmandu City proper across the holy Bishnumati River. Situated on the top of a hillock, it is about 500 feet above the level of the Valley. The whole hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and pagoda temples possessing great five Mahayan (Lamaism) and one Hinyan (Therbadist). On the hind hill is located another important Buddhist shrine; it is called Manjushree. This Chinese Buddha is the God of Knowledge.


  • DAY 5
    Morning sightseeing tour to Dakshinkali and Chovar to see animal sacrificing ceremonies. Afternoon free for independent activities. O/N Hotel.

    Dakshinkali Temple is one of the well-known Hindu enshrinement that is devoted to the Goddess Kali. The Dakshinkali Temple is 22 kilometers from Kathmandu valley and about a kilometer from the village known as Pharping. It is believed that DakshinKali Temple was brought about after Goddess Kali appeared in the dream of King Malla and ordered the king to construct the DakshinKali Temple dedicating the temple to her in an unknown place. The DakshinKali Temple has an important role to Hindus who require her blessings. It is believed that the Goddess at DakshinKali Temple has the ability to make these wishes come true. Animals and specifically the cockerels male goats that have not been castrated are sacrificed as wishes are made in front of DakshinKali Temple.

    Chovar Gorge: The small picturesque village of Chovar overlooking the Bagmati river is 10 km from Kathmandu valley. The Chovar Gorge is the greater attraction of this place. Legend has it that the gorge was carved out by a mighty blow of the sword by Manjushree who wanted to drain the lake that filled Kathmandu Valley centuries ago. Even today, this is the place through which the Valley's waters gush out to the plains beyond the hills. Along side is the Jal Vinayak Temple, an important pilgrimage site for the valley residents.


  • DAY 6
    Transfer to airport for international departure.

    Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, and your passport handy. Our staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing country, Nepal.
