Introduction
The Kanchenjunga region, located in north eastern Nepal on the borders of Tibet and India, is definitely worth considering for an all-round trekking adventure in a remote part of Nepal. Kanchenjunga, at 8598 meters, is the world's third tallest peak. Kanchenjunga translates to "clear crystal" in English. Many of the treks in this area revolve on the Arun River, and the culture of the people who live here is as rich and colorful as the natural surroundings. Sherpa and Gurung communities predominate in the north, while Rai, Limbu, Magar, Tamang, Brahman, and Chhetri communities predominate in the south.
The area is abundant in natural beauty and serves as a home to a variety of wild animals, birds, and rare flora. Rhododendrons, orchids, lilies, and primula are just a few of the many flower species found here. The elusive snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, musk deer, and red panda can also be found in the region, as well as Impheyan, pheasant, red-billed blue magpie, and timid drongo.
The walk is fairly tough, so you should be in good shape, but the rewards are well worth it. If you're searching for something off the beaten path that's rich in flora and wildlife and offers spectacular vistas, this could be the walk for you, especially if you enjoy nature.

Because you'll be flying to the Himalayas tomorrow, you can also do some last-minute shopping for personal items.
You will have a flight to bhadrapur from where a short drive will take you to Illam for your overnight stay.
We're taking a lovely journey to Taplejung through Phidim today. Taplejung is where you'll spend the night. The expedition will begin with a stroll downwards to Mitlung. Our journey will take us through picturesque fields and tiny towns. We cross the Hangdewa Khola and the rushing Tamur River on our journey.
Trek uphill for a while before descending to Sinwa settlement. Continue to Tawa, where you will encounter another ascent. At Thiwa, cross the suspension bridge. As a result, you'll be riding upwards and downward at the same time while taking in the breathtaking scenery. As a result, we arrive in Chirwa, a small Limbu village with a few lodges, shops, and camping grounds.
Trek upward for a while before descending to the lovely greenery below. Continue along the Tamur River until you reach Olangchung Gola, the Kanchenjugha National Park's entrance point. Before crossing the Ghunsa Khola, we trek uphill and downhill. After crossing the suspension bridge and walking for another half hour, we arrive at our Sekathum campground.
Today is going to be a really difficult day. Cross the river and make your way up the rocky trail. Then descend and cross the river once more. From the gorge's bottom, there's yet another ascent. Pass through Solima. Return to the river's level. Because the trail runs alongside the gorge, exercise caution while walking. Then, after a difficult uphill and downhill trial, we arrive at Amjilosa to end our frantic day.
We hike up the riverbank once more. Pass through a highly forested area that consists primarily of bamboo, fir, and rhododendrons. Eventually, you'll come across a little stone home along the river. Then hike back up, passing via a few minor bridges. The river dips dramatically, with numerous waterfalls and pools. Take in the breathtaking scenery of the waterfalls. Gyabla, a Tibetan village, is reached after a short uphill hike.
We make our way back down the river. Before we get at Phole, the valley gradually widens up. Another few of hours will take us to Ghunsa, a well-known Sherpa settlement with a hydropower facility. It's also the site of a devastating helicopter crash that claimed the lives of more than 20 famous conservationists.
This day was set aside for acclimatization. Instead of being idle, health professionals always advise us to be active and moving during our rest days. We take a short stroll through lush green woodland to the Lapsan La. Arrive in Ghunsa in the afternoon and unwind.
We continue north down the riverbank from Ghunsa. Hike through the forests and plants of the highlands. At Rampuk Kharka, cross the bridge. Past the waterfall, continue on. Cross the landslide's difficult and dangerous portion. We begin to see views of Jannu after crossing the landslide. As a result of exploring the difficult mountain trail, we arrive in Kambachen.
On this day, we take rest at khambachen for acclimatization.
Climb up the hillside along the river bank past the rugged fields and boulders. Make your way to a waterfall. To go to Ramtang, cross the bridge. Cross a few small landslides before descending to the river and landing in Lhonak.

Before climbing to the top of the moraine, follow the stream. As the magnificent south face of Kanchenjungha looms in front of you, take a deep breath. Continue walking forward to catch a sight of the Jannu Himal. You then head towards Oktang and return to Ramche for an overnight camp.
