Introduction

The Cho Oyu is attempting to climb the world's sixth highest peak. Cho Oyu was first climbed by an Austrian team in 1954. This summit was also ascended by Indian and German teams in 1958 and 1964, respectively. The peak has been reached by many expedition teams. The Nepal Mountaineering Association celebrated the Golden Jubilee of Cho Oyu in 2004 with great fanfare and happiness. Around 400 climbers from all around the world attended the golden jubilee ceremony, with the majority of them reaching the summit. Because of the simpler technical climbing route from the Tibetan side, most Cho Oyu expedition teams now climb from there.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Following your arrival, you will be met, greeted, welcomed, assisted, and transferred to your hotel for the night.

DAY 4

Drive to Timure, overnight in Lodge.

After the collection of visa and with the briefing, the next day you will be driven to timure where you will stay in a lodge for the night.

DAY 5

Drive to Kerung after Immigration formality, Overnight in Lodge.

After acquiring the commencement of immigration formality and acquiring of visa you will be driven to Kerung where the overnight stay will be done in a lodge.

DAY 6

Acclimatization Day at Kerung, Overnight in Lodge.

Upon reaching Kerung, you will spend the day there as acclimatization is necessary before traveling further ahead.

DAY 7

Drive to Tingri, Overnight in Hotel.

After acclimatization we leave Kerung and move forward towards Tingri where the night will be spent.

DAY 8

Drive to Chinese Base Camp (5200m), Overnight in Camp.

From Tingri we will move towards the Chinese base camp where camps will be setup for the overnight stay.

DAY 9-10

Acclimatization Day at Chinese Base Camp, Overnight in Camp.

On this day too acclimatization is required so we will be stopping here and local area will be explored before we move on to the next destination.

DAY 11

Drive to Middle Camp and Trek to the ABC (5700m), Overnight in Camp.

From Chinese base camp, we will drive towards Middle camp. Upon arrival at Middle camp we begin trekking towards ABC and setup camps and stay there for the night.

DAY 12-39

Climbing Period of Cho-Oyu, Summit Cho-Oyu (8201m).

From ABC the ascent to Cho Oyu begins which almost takes 27 days where you will experience one of the best adventurous expedition.

DAY 40

Drive to Tingri, Overnight in Hotel.

Upon the completion of the ascent we will then drive back to Tingri to celebrate our successful conquer of the majestic Cho Oyu where the night will be spent in a hotel.

DAY 41

Drive to Kerung, Overnight in Lodge.

After the night in Tingri, we start our journey early in the morning where we drive towards our next destination which is Kerung. There we will be staying in a lodge for the night.

DAY 42

Drive to Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel.

The next day, we drive towards Kathmandu where you can rest after the long and exciting summit of Cho Oyu in a hotel.

DAY 43

Rest and leisure day in Kathmandu.

The following day, you will have ample time to rest in Kathmandu as well as in leisure time you can have a tour of the beautiful city of temples.

DAY 44

Transfer to airport

After almost 43 days of your exciting expedition, keep your passport and air ticket ready as our staff will transfer you to the airport for your International departure.
