This leisure, short trip to Lhasa offers you an experience to be in the world's highest plateau and observe the day to day life as it was for the past centuries. Although at present, the city of Lhasa is a mixture of old and new, the new Lhasa is a modern town, having a network of streets, apartments, hotels and stores. The old city of Lhasa dates back to 6-7th centaury is round the Jorkhang temple, from here one can still see Lhasa of the old days with pilgrims, traders, people from all walks of life. In Lhasa, visiting interesting places from the busy markets of Barkhor, monasteries, and the famed, magnificent Potala Palace which stands majestically over the Lhasa Valley.

A land so rich in culture, tradition and steeped in religion with its unique landscape cast an enchanted spell that holds you in thrill and excitement. A sweeping panoramic flight over the mighty Himalayas includes the breathtaking views of Everest and Makalu.

Day 01:

Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

  On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport you will be received by our staff and transfer you to respective Hotels, where our guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu and Tibet portion, do's and don't and other related information that you might require while in Nepal-Tibet.
   
Day 02:

In Kathmandu with half day tour.

  After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest.
   
Day 03:
Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3,650m)
  Approximately 1 hr 10 minutes scenic flight over the high Himalayan range, After breakfast early morning drive for the flight to Tibet at Gonggar Airport with an hour scenic flight from Kathmandu by Air China over the majestic Himalayan range offers the spectacular view of Everest and some of its adjoining peaks. Upon arrival at Gongar Airport near Lhasa, meet our Tibetan representative with 2 hrs drive to Lhasa. Afternoon visit the Barkhor Market near the Jorkhang Temple premises the hub of Lhasa.
   
Day 04-05:

In Lhasa – Sightseeing Tour.

 

Guided tour in Lhasa in Lhasa, you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Palace, Norbulinkha Palace, Sera or Drepung Monastery. Tour the fabled City of Lhasa. A completely forbidden City until very recent times, Lhasa was Holy Grail for many central Asian explorers of past generations. The City has of course been altered by the Chinese occupation and the impact of foreign visitors. However much of the original character remains and whilst jostling through the Potala with crowds of ethnic Tibetans, it is hard not to be captivated by this magnificent civilisation.

Visit of the great monasteries of Sera and Drepung, both of which were extensively destroyed in the Cultural Revolution but are now being rebuilt. Visit the Jokhang and of course the Potala Palace. Lhasa is at 3,600m/12,000ft and provides an ideal acclimation for the first few days.

   
Day 06:

Free day in Lhasa.

  Free day in Lhasa this day allows you to brows the local market and bazaar at your own time and for souvenir shopping or just relaxes in a nearby café at Barkhor area and observe the Tibetan way of life.
   
Day 07:

Fly back to Kathmandu

  Morning as per the flight time less than two hours drive reaches you at Gongor Airport, on reaching the airport and after the custom and immigration formalities board on the plane for the panoramic sweeping flight back to Kathmandu. At Kathmandu International airport our staff will receive you and transfer you back to the Hotel.
   
Day 08:

In Kathmandu.

  A free day in Kathmandu, please inform our staff if you would like to go on another short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley or for scenic mountain flight.
   
Day 09:

Transfer to airport for departure.

  Today as per your international flight time, keep your confirmed air ticket, and your passport handy. Our staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this amazing trip.

We can add these extensions before or after your holiday according to the flights that you have booked / can book.
