Introduction:

This is one of the most classic and rewarding treks in Nepal. It could also be considered the world’s favourite trekking destination since it offers panoramic views of the three gigantic and the tallest 8000-meter ranged mountains Mount Annapurna, Mount Dhaulagiri and Mount Manaslu, including arrays of over 6000m-ranged snow-capped peaks as well. The trail follows the river Marsyangdi all the way to its source, the glacial lake in Manang, through the rural farm villages and terraced farm fields from the sub-tropic climate to the arctic landscape and through the rain forest to the alpine woodlands.

Tilicho trail provides the world's best trekking routes, including various breathtaking sceneries and cultures that can rarely be found in any other Himalayan regions. This route via Tilicho Lake through the two high passes Masokanto La 5099m and Tilicho Pass 5,230m is still very much frequented by adventurous trekkers who are eventually offered to pass the altitude pass with technical assistance like use of rope. Most of the inhabiting ethnicities are Thakalis, Gurungs and Magars, and further up in the north live the Manang people of Tibetan origin.  Trek follows the yak country before finally heading over to the Tilicho pass (5,230m) and Mesokanto-la pass (5, 099m). This route offers fabulous sceneries of the surrounding landscapes and magnificent peaks.
